Periodontal Treatments
Great oral health has everything to do with the health of your teeth and gums. While maintaining routine dental appointments is beneficial, you may occasionally need to see a specialist for more complicated procedures, including tooth extractions, gum disease treatment, or dental implants. As an experienced periodontist, Dr. Constance is specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of many issues and diseases related to the gum tissue, as well as the placement of dental implants.
Our team is devoted to periodontal care and providing patients with education on their oral health, conservative treatment measures, and remaining up-to-date on advancements in technology and techniques. From gum disease treatment to frenectomy procedures, we offer comprehensive periodontal treatments to help restore your gums and teeth back to proper functioning.
Periodontal maintenance
- Routine deep cleanings of the teeth above and below the gum line to help prevent the return of gum disease.
Scaling and root planing
- Deep cleaning involving the removal of plaque and tartar buildup below the gum line and smoothing the tooth surface to encourage gum tissue reattachment.
Guided tissue regeneration
- Uses bioactive growth factors or proteins to stimulate the jaw bone and encourage regrowth, especially after damage or deterioration caused by gum disease.
Sinus lift
- Lifting of the sinus membrane in order to fill the cavity below with bone grafting material in preparation for dental implants.
Ridge preservation
- Surgically improving and restoring the shape and size of the alveolar (jaw) ridge to provide a natural contour of the gums in preparation for dental implants.
Frenectomy
- Removing the frenulum, or the fold of gum tissue from underneath the tongue or upper lip that inhibits movement of the tongue and lip.
